the bus driver had to help me..
AGAIN!

that video was UNHELPFUL! hopefully next time i’ll remember that that stupid lever you have to pull over the bike tire can get stuck if you don’t pull it out exactly right.
i just got back from a “public hearing” for my job. the report is technically done, but each committee (criminal justice, health and wellness, education, economic development, community rebuilding) is holding public hearings so that the community will be able to give some feedback on the recommendations before the final report.
i think i’m expected to go to all of them. so, this is my 2nd one.
the hearings have gone well so far, but there’s not enough people from the community actually showing up and putting in their input. the ones who show up are people that i can tell are already really involved in the community already. this one dude would not stop talking during the hearing… and then afterwards wanted to talk to me more.
nigga made me miss my bus! like… you see i’m on a bike and you see the sun is setting… why do you want to talk to me about pan-african studies and a belief in god????
at the last meeting i didn’t say anything, but i said a little something this time… so, i came away with a couple of business cards.
maybe it will help me with my future employment.
